Using Technology to Sell Homes in St. George

I am a techie at heart. I have way too many computers and electronic gadgets. As I've posted in other blogs, I recently purchased a remote control helicopter with the intent of using it to elevate (pun intended) my client's listings. So, How's the Market Doing?

Well in one word, I would say it is "stable". Our year to date listings are higher than last year, but our sales are slightly lower. There is good inventory, and the sold to list ratio has improved over the last three months. Also the average days on market (DOM) has dropped significantly in the last few months from 128 days to under 100 so that's great news for sellers.

Hiking Angels Landing in Zion National Park

Last weekend I ran the Zion Half Marathon. The organizers have an after-race challenge called "The Angels Club" for those who didn't get abused enough during the half marathon. The challenge is to climb "Angels Landing" in Zion National Park within 72 hours of completing the half marathon.

A couple of years ago I went to the doctor because I had a lump on the side of of my cheek. I figured it was a cyst, or something similar. Imagine my surprise when my doctor sent me to a specialist when he suspected it to be a tumor on my perotid gland! The specialist quickly sent me to get a CT Scan. Low and behold not only did I indeed have a tumor on my perotid gland, I had two tumors on my thyroid gland as well. Scary stuff...

30-Year Fixed Mortgage Rates Decline First Time in 4 Weeks

Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed mortgages fell this week, with the current rate at 4.11 percent, down from 4.18 percent at this same time last week. The 30-year fixed mortgage rate declined steadily last week, dropping to as low as 4.09 percent on Monday before rising slightly to today’s rate.
